VilleUnie is here to unlock the power of local commerce. We are a new program funded by a $690,000 grant from the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie, designed to create a thriving local ecosystem that benefits local product manufacturers, businesses, communities and our province as a whole.
Our Mission
Unity & Collaboration
We believe in working together – product manufacturers, retailers, and consumers – to build a stronger local economy.
Local Economic Development
VilleUnie empowers communities by keeping wealth circulating locally, creating jobs, and promoting prosperity.
Sustainable Future
Local products often have shorter transportation distances, reducing their carbon footprint.
Together We Rise
VilleUnie is about more than just shopping local. It’s about creating durable economic stability, fostering entrepreneurship and employment, and building shared prosperity. By supporting local, we invest in our collective future, creating a ripple effect that benefits everyone.
Our Territory
Our territory includes some of Montreal’s best-known commercial arteries, including Monkland Avenue, Sherbrooke Street West, Somerled Avenue and Saint-Jacques Street. Our local commerce and economic development program, VilleUnie, partners with neighboring sectors to extend economic benefits beyond our perimeter and to as many local communities as possible on our island.
